Sarah Butterworth. Community and Groupwork Director
Sarah is an experienced and fully trained Domestic Abuse Support Worker. She specialises in offering group interventions and ran a variety of group programmes including The Freedom Programme and The Power to Change in Lancaster for five years whilst on staff at Safenet. Sarah is passionate about inspiring women in their recovery from Domestic Abuse as well as about training professionals to be able to offer better support to victims.
Sarah is a fully trained and accredited facilitator of the survivor programmes we offer
Prior to her work in Domestic Abuse Sarah has a background in business management.
Sharron Gardner. Training and Development Director
Sharron has worked as a domestic abuse professional for approximately 10 years. She has experience in setting up children and family services for Women's Aid. Offering training on the effects of domestic abuse on children for other professional agencies was an ongoing part of this role. This developed into providing training on all areas of domestic abuse in the Lancaster and district area. Sharron has also worked as a social worker and support worker for various organisations including Safenet.
